Builder's Warranty Inspections
What is a one year Builder’s Warranty
Inspection?
This inspection is for homes that are still under
a builder's warranty. The builder is responsible for almost all
defects on a new home for one year from the date of purchase.
Normally it is
up to you to contact your builder to tell them there are problems
with the home that need to be repaired. This is a professional
inspection that will provide you with a detailed type-written report
and digital photographs to identify all items of concern. This
visual inspection covers all major systems in the home from the soil
to the roof and everything in-between.
While many
items are now concealed, it’s not too late for defects to be caught
by the trained eye of an experienced home inspector. Most major construction flaws go unnoticed for
many years. By
the time they are discovered, correcting these flaws could cost many thousands of
dollars and the builder is no longer responsible.
